The National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) of each country is required to have a robust system in place to protect civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference. The European Parliament and the Council (Regulation No. 300/2008) has set standards which must be followed and included within each NASP and entity Security Programme.
In addition to standards set by the European Parliament and the Council, each airport’s Security Programme needs to be approved by the Civil Aviation Authority CAA.
