Air Transport Security 2017

 
 

The sixth Air Transport Security conference took place on 22nd November 2017 in the conference center of Václav Havel Airport in Prague. The meeting was mainly focused on the new threats in the civil aviation and this topic was further analyzed also in the internal discussions. The key message of the conference is the way, how to improve the current processes to prevent the threats and what is the approach of the civil aviation organizations (EASA, ICAO).

As the hot talk of the meeting the GDPR related contribution can be highlighted. Since in aviation high amount of personal data of both passengers and employees are collected, and also number of voice and navigation documents and databases information are stored. These documents have to be saved in archive to not to be used by unauthorized person. The contribution of Prague´s airport IT manager introduced the example of these data handling.


The third priority discussed on the conference was the protection of soft aims, which become nowadays an issue of growing importance with the respect to the past year’s events. To ensure the proper safety, the cooperation of all security units – both national and local. In the second category, we are mainly talking about the security protection agencies – specialized on protection of buildings and public space.


The PCS Company presented their new technologies and products in security control, ready to be introduced to the market. The presented x-ray and metal detectors offer higher resolution and transmission of the controlled matter.
