Duration: 6 hours

Validity: 2 years

Duration and validity depend on individual national legislative requirements.

Learning Objectives: Learn general information in the field of safeguarding civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference.  

Who this course suitable for: All persons performing tasks as listed in points 11.2.3.1, 11.2.3.4 and 11.2.3.5 as well as in points 11.2.4, 11.2.5 and 11.5


Course Content:

previous acts of unlawful interference with civil aviation, terrorist acts and current threats

legal framework for aviation security

objectives and organisation of aviation security, including the obligations and responsibilities of persons implementing security controls

access control procedures

identification card systems used at the airport

procedures for challenging persons and circumstances in which persons should be challenged or reported

reporting procedures

prohibited articles

response to security related incidents

how human behaviour and responses can affect security performance

clear and confidential communication
