International Aviation Safety & Security Conference
The 13th International Aviation Safety & Security Conference was held at Václav Havel Airport Prague on 20th November 2019. The main focus of the conference was on the protection against acts of unlawful interference. The current threats in civil aviation and the problems related to the returning persons from the Islamic state (IS) back to their countries, as well as the implementation of modern trends in the field of security measures were discussed.
Philip Baum, the generally accepted civil aviation security expert, introduced the barriers of the implementation of human behavioural analysis as the common practice. He also drafted, how these can be overcome.
Another interesting point of the conference was the contribution of Mr. Wilfried Coven, who presented the project of employing people with an autism at Zaventem airport in Brussels, as Security Officers evaluating X-ray images.
