Workshop for AVSEC Instructors 2018 - AVSEC Training

AVSEC & Emergency Training company organized the third Workshop for Civil Aviation Security Instructors, which took place in Prague on December 6th -7th 2018. The workshop was attended by representatives from Great Britain, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

As the first topic, the acceptance of the professional AVSEC Instructors, different approach to AVSEC trainings within the EU states and the possibility of utilization e-learning for these purposes were discussed.  The workshop participants further discussed both advantages and disadvantages of the current legislation in the field of AVSEC training, with the main focus on the flexibility in the way and scope of the training.

The main objective of the workshop was the topic of practical training and the choice of appropriate tools for demonstrations. The workshop was attended by Mrs. Sarina Baumgartner from CASRA, who introduced the tools for training security personnel operating X-ray / EDS equipment that comply with new legislative requirements.

The second guest of the workshop was Mr. Steve Williams from DSA Detection, who introduced the tools which can be used for security staff training. The workshop participants agreed on the necessity to use appropriate training aids for security personnel across all areas of civil aviation.
